Earlier, a poster circulated on social media claiming that Shebeshxt would be making his debut on Skeem Saam as Lehlogonolo Chauke on Saturday, June 1, 2024. However, SABC has dismissed these claims. SABC publicity specialist Caroline Phalakatshela confirmed to Briefly News that the rumors are false and that Shebeshxt is not joining the show. She stated, “Shebeshxt is not joining Skeem Saam and wasn’t hired by SABC. It’s all fake news.” Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela also confirmed on his Twitter (X) page that Shebeshxt is not joining the show.
