The 31-year-old actress celebrated her new position at an intimate banquet on Wednesday (October 16) at Kokomo Bar & Restaurant throughout the Williamsburg group of Brooklyn, New York.

“In the top, I want to switch into additional storytelling and not always be the performer. Proper now, I’m focused on what it approach to be throughout the seat and be given those positions,” Keke steered Elle.com. “I’m if truth be told thankful that [Creme of Nature] spotted me for this opportunity, because of I’ve always represented my city Chicago, telling stories via my group representation.”
Keke added, “It’s a continuation of the tale I’ve been telling as a Black woman and as a millennial, which is that it’s our time not to be afraid to take over those positions. I will be able to only keep up a correspondence to my generation after I say that, alternatively we’re always attempting to resolve how one can continue evolving and where we’re attempting to move. Most people are if truth be told in our early thirties, and we’re more youthful and cool. However now, what does that indicate? How do I make a real endeavor out of this? How can I create longevity for myself? I imagine that’s the tale [I’ve been telling] ever since True Jackson, VP—give us a chance, give us an opportunity, we can provide up, we can do the task. I know how to build a deck, you know? I will be able to have the conversations. Give us a seat. Allow us to have an opportunity to suggest other other people like me.”
