Charles Barkley‘s television broadcast career is coming to an end.
The 61-year-old former NBA basketball player offered that he’s retiring from broadcasting after the next season.
Charles, who retired from collaborating in after the 1999-2000 season, made his announcement after the fourth game of the NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks.

“There’s been relatively numerous noise spherical our group the last few months. I merely wish to say, I talked to all of the reverse networks, alternatively I ain’t going nowhere except TNT. However I’ve made the selection myself, it doesn’t subject what happens, next one year is going to be my ultimate one year on television,” he shared, via Deadline. “I merely wish to say due to my NBA family. I am hoping the NBA remains with TNT … I’m now not going to another group, alternatively I’m going to transport the baton to Jamal Crawford or Vince Carter differently you, Steve [Smith], alternatively next one year, I’m merely going to retire after 25 years.”
All via his time as a sports activities actions analyst on TNT, Charles has received 4 Sports actions Emmy Awards for Excellent Studio Analyst.
Again in 2022, he signed a 10-year contract extension with Warner Bros Discovery Sports actions, who owns the TNT group.
